Meet Dr. Kazlouskaya - an expert in Dermatology in NYC

Dr. Kazlouskaya (or Dr. K as many patients call her) is an experienced and seasoned double-board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. She is an expert in dermatology and dermatopathology treating a broad spectrum of skin disorders in adults and children, with specific interests in hair loss/alopecia, acne, acne scars treatment, skin cancer prevention, skin surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Education and training

Dr. K. has an MD and PhD from Vitebsk State Medical University in Belarus. She did her dermatology residency at Vitebsk State Medical University and later became an Associate Professor of dermatology and the chair of the dermatovenereology department at Gomel State Medical University. She has also done extensive post-graduate training in Europe, including dermatopathology in Germany and photodynamic therapy and laser surgery in Italy.

After she moved to the United States, she completed a second dermatology residency in dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was awarded the best resident award during her third year of training. She additionally finished fellowship training in dermatopathology at the University of Pittsburgh.

Achievements

Dr. Kazlouskaya is a co-author of over 70 scientific peer-reviewed publications (see full list of publications here), over 20 book chapters, and numerous online publications. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and is actively reviewing articles for several scientific dermatological journals.

She has been awarded the Women’s Society of Dermatology’s Career and Community Advancement Award, the Richard B. Stoughton Memorial Fellowship Award, and the Orlando Dermatology Aesthetic & Clinical Conference Social Media Award for her commitment and contributions to the field of dermatology and dermatopathology. As a recipient of AAD Resident International Grant, Dr K. spent a month volunteering in Botswana educating local dermatologists and seeing patients with tropical dermatological conditions.

The field of dermatology is constantly evolving, and Dr. Kazlouskaya is willing and able to keep up with its changes. She demonstrates this by dedicating her time to several medical societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the Women’s Society of Dermatology (WDS), American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP) among others, and presenting at national and international meetings.

She is also active on social media, offering her followers advice on over-the-counter remedies and lifestyle modifications (Instagram; Facebook)

After practicing dermatology for 20 years Dr. Kazlouskaya opened her office in Manhattan, New York to be able to provide individualized compassionate dermatology care.

Hobbies and interests

Dr. K is enjoying her free time with her husband and dogs. She is an avid traveler, diver, hiker, and outdoor enthusiast.
