Preventing skin cancers

Before and after actinic keratosis treatment. Actinic keratosis presents as rough or scaly skin, often overlooked. This patient, exposed to prolonged outdoor activities, developed widespread precancerous spots on the scalp. Comprehensive treatment (“field treatment”) is necessary, achievable through prescription medications, photodynamic therapy, chemical peels, or lasers.
