Annual Skin Exam · Upper East Side NYC

Annual Skin Exam & Comprehensive Dermatology Review

Your skin, moles, hair and aesthetic goals, evaluated together once a year.

Most people see a dermatologist one concern at a time: a mole here, thinning hair there, a cosmetic question that never quite gets asked. The Annual Review brings everything into one extended visit with Dr. Viktoryia Kazlouskaya, MD/PhD, double board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology.

You leave with a complete picture of your skin today and a structured plan for the year ahead.

Who It's For

Who Should Consider an Annual Skin Exam? A Proactive Approach.

The Annual Review is designed for patients who prefer prevention and planning.

  • Busy professionals who want dedicated time to address skin health, hair concerns and cosmetic priorities in one coordinated visit.

  • Patients with many moles or a personal or family history of melanoma or other skin cancers, who benefit from a documented baseline.

  • Anyone noticing hair thinning or shedding who wants early changes measured, not guessed.

  • Patients planning cosmetic care who want treatments chosen in the context of their overall skin health.

  • People with significant sun exposure over the years, where early precancerous changes are common and often subtle.

What's Included

What the Annual Review Includes. Three Evaluations, One Visit.

Annual ReviewThree Evaluations, One Visit
01 · Skin:

Full Body Skin Exam & Mole Mapping

A systematic examination from scalp to soles, with dermoscopy of any lesion that deserves a closer look. Digital total body photography creates a baseline, so next year's visit can show exactly what is new or has changed.

02 · Hair:

Hair & Scalp Evaluation With Trichoscopy

Digital trichoscopy measures hair density and examines the scalp under magnification. Early thinning is far easier to treat than advanced loss, and measurements give an objective starting point.

03 · Aesthetics:

Comprehensive Cosmetic Assessment

Skin quality, pigmentation, texture, volume and facial aging are reviewed together. Recommendations are prioritized, so you know what is worth doing this year and what can wait.

Your Visit

What to Expect at Your Annual Review. Time to Look at Everything.

Plan for approximately 90 minutes. The visit is unhurried by design.

  1. Your history and priorities.

We review previous biopsies, skin cancer history, family history, medications, hair changes and what you would most like to improve.

  2. Imaging.

Total body photography, dermoscopy of selected lesions and digital trichoscopy of the scalp.

  3. Examination.

Dr. Kazlouskaya examines your skin, moles, scalp and face directly. Imaging adds detail; it does not replace the examination.

  4. Findings and plan.

We go through what was found, what needs treatment, what simply needs monitoring and what is reassuring.

What You Leave With

Your Plan for the Year. Clear, Written, Personal.

  • A written summary of your findings and recommendations.

  • Digital baselines of your moles and hair density, stored for comparison at your next Annual Review.

  • A prioritized treatment plan that sets medical needs first, then cosmetic goals, in a sensible order and timing.

  • A follow-up schedule based on your risk: some patients return in a year, while others need selected lesions rechecked sooner.

  • Same-day next steps when appropriate. If a lesion needs a biopsy, it can usually be done at the same visit.

FAQ

What is included in the Annual Review?

A full body skin examination with mole mapping, assessment of sun damage and precancerous spots, a hair and scalp evaluation with digital trichoscopy, and a comprehensive cosmetic consultation, all in one visit with Dr. Kazlouskaya.

How much does an annual skin exam cost in NYC?

The Dermatology Circle Annual Review starts at $950. Booked separately, the same evaluations cost $1,300.

How long does the visit take?

Allow approximately 90 minutes for imaging, examination and a full discussion of the findings.

How often should I have a full body skin exam?

The right interval depends on your personal and family history, previous skin cancers, mole pattern and examination findings. Dr. Kazlouskaya will recommend a schedule tailored to you. Some patients benefit from annual examinations, while others need closer follow-up. A new, changing or bleeding lesion should be assessed promptly rather than waiting for your next Annual Review.

What if something suspicious is found?

If a biopsy is appropriate, it can usually be performed the same day. Dr. Kazlouskaya, a board-certified dermatopathologist, reviews the tissue herself.

Can I have a cosmetic treatment at the same visit?

Some treatments can be scheduled the same day when time allows. Most patients prefer to leave with a plan and book treatments afterward. Ask when you schedule.

Is the Annual Review covered by insurance?

Dermatology Circle is a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance. On request, we can provide documentation for possible out-of-network reimbursement, but coverage is not guaranteed.

I only have one concern. Do I need the full Annual Review?

No. If you have a single question, such as one changing mole or hair shedding, an individual consultation may be the better fit. See all consultation options.
