This case shows a patient with early thinning who wanted to avoid systemic hormonal therapy. Rather than starting an oral DHT blocker, treatment was built around dutasteride mesotherapy combined with oral minoxidil, targeting the follicle directly while working around a preference to avoid oral anti-androgens.
Nine months in, density and coverage across the crown and part line show marked improvement. This approach demonstrates that meaningful regrowth is achievable without oral finasteride or dutasteride, which matters for patients who can’t or don’t want to take a systemic DHT blocker.
As with all androgenetic alopecia, this is a chronic, progressive condition, the gains seen here depend on continued maintenance treatment over time.
